My life

When I was little, I wanted to be a graphic designer. As it turned out, I ended up designing landscapes. Beyond the day-job my urge to be creative has never been dampened and I have always been making and crafting art. Previously, when designing parks and playgrounds I commissioned public art, but throughout the years, I have accepted the odd commission and been involved with teaching art to young people.

Nature and science continue to astound me – the joy of being a lay-person means you can enjoy the full range of discoveries and wonder in different disciplines. I'm passionate about the protection and improvement of the world that we live in, understanding other cultures, learning and trying new experiences. I want to share these experiences with others, allowing them to see the beauty of the world whether that is found in the tiny or expansive, natural or urban environments. I believe that through art, music and cultural commodities the human experience will be shared, explored and improved.

Professionally, I have a BA Hons degree in Garden Design (University of Greenwich) and Master of Studies degree in Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment (University of Cambridge). I work for the charity GreenSpace as a researcher and policy specialist in green infrastructure.

I hope you enjoy your visit - more art and craft will be posted here soon, please come back to check it out.

Peace and love, Mx
